The project funded by the EU “Capacity Building of Government Institutions to Engage in Dialogue with Civil Society in Determining Policy in BiH” will be officially presented on Thursday in the EU Delegation to BiH building in Sarajevo.

The goal of the project is to strengthen capacity of the BiH Council of Ministers, the FBiH, RS and Brčko District governments in cooperation with civil society and engaging in productive dialogue.

Over the next two years, the project would support the efforts of institutions at all levels in implementing strategies on cooperation with civil society organizations in the country, providing necessary technical assistance in the development of institutional mechanisms of cooperation of government with civil society organizations, support in building capacity of all government institutions to participate in monitoring and analyzing public policy through training of civil servants, and to help governments in enhancing budgetary policy regarding support to civil society organizations.

The EU will finance this project for a total amount of 969.200 euros from the IPA fund (IPA) 2011.
