EUFOR Chief of Staff Hosts Netherlands Marechaussee Deputy Commander

EUFOR Chief of Staff, Brigadier General Traian Magherca, hosted Deputy Commander of the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee, Major General Roger Costongs, at Camp Butmir. During the visit, discussions focused on the mission of EUFOR Operation Althea and the implementation of its mandate in support of a safe and secure environment for all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Brigadier General Magherca highlighted the important contribution made by Dutch personnel serving within both EUFOR Headquarters and the EUFOR Multinational Battalion, praising their professionalism, commitment, and continued support to the mission.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on regional security, multinational cooperation, and the importance of maintaining readiness and interoperability within EUFOR forces.

The visit reaffirmed the strong cooperation between EUFOR and the Netherlands, as well as the continued commitment of contributing nations to Operation Althea and its mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
