Commander of EUFOR, Major General Maurizio Fronda, today delivered opening remarks at the NATO Annual Discipline Conference on Education, Training and Exercise Evaluation, hosted at the Peace Support Operations Training Centre (PSOTC) of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Annual Discipline Conference (ADC) is a recurring NATO event aimed at reviewing Education and Training (E&T) requirements within specific disciplines and assessing whether current programmes meet evolving operational needs. The conference plays a key role in ensuring that NATO’s education and training framework remains relevant, effective and aligned with future challenges.

A central outcome of the conference is the Discipline Alignment Plan (DAP), a comprehensive report outlining achievements, identifying capability gaps, and defining the way ahead for further development of the discipline.

In his address, Major General Fronda highlighted the long-standing reputation of PSOTC for professionalism, high standards and its significant contribution to both regional and international security. He emphasised the importance of multinational cooperation, stating:

“Cooperation is not a luxury; it is a necessity. Our ability to maintain coherence, interoperability and a shared understanding across our forces underpins the credibility of our collective security.”

The conference, led by NATO School Oberammergau, brought together representatives from 17 countries (15 NATO members and 2 Partner for Peace nations – Bosnia and Herzegovina and Georgia), with 36 participants representing 20 NATO and partner organisations.
