EUFOR Commander Meets Member of the Presidency of BiH

On 19 February, the Commander of the European Union Force (EUFOR) Althea, Major General Maurizio Fronda, met with the Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Denis Bećirović.

The meeting reaffirmed the strong and constructive cooperation between EUFOR and the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Discussions focused on matters of mutual interest, the current security environment, and continued coordination in support of a safe and secure environment across the country.

Member of the Presidency Bećirović congratulated Major General Fronda on assuming command of EUFOR Althea and wished him success in his mandate. He also expressed appreciation to all contributing nations for their continued commitment and efforts towards stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Major General Fronda thanked the Presidency for its ongoing cooperation and reiterated EUFOR’s steadfast, impartial and mandate-driven commitment to supporting the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He underlined that the European Union remains firmly engaged in promoting stability and security in BiH, emphasizing EUFOR’s determination to remain visible, credible and impartial.
