EUFOR Commander in Bosnia and Herzegovina Major General Anton Wessely met today with Director General of the Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Osman Mehmedagic, Klix.ba writes.
The current security challenges in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region and the world were discussed, as well as the improvement of the successful cooperation between the Agency and EUFOR.
During the meeting, Major General Wessely and Director General Mehmedagic discussed the intensified activities that the European Union military mission is undertaking in BiH in order to ensure a peaceful and stable security situation in our country.
The importance of continuing close cooperation and exchange of information between the BiH Intelligence and Security Agency and EUFOR was emphasized at the meeting, given the current situation in the world.
Major General Wessely reiterated that EUFOR forces are determined to support BiH partners in maintaining a secure environment, and expressed EUFOR’s commitment to a peaceful, multiethnic and sustainable Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Director General of OSA BiH thanked the EUFOR Commander for the assistance so far and said that the successful cooperation between the Intelligence and Security Agency of BiH and EUFOR will continue in the future.
