The Commander of EUFOR, Major General Maurizio Fronda, met with the Mayor of Travnik, Mr. Kenan Dautović, and the Mayor of Zenica, Mr. Fuad Kasumović. During these meetings, the mayors presented current development projects in their respective cities, highlighting that such progress is made possible by the stable and secure environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Major General Fronda commended these efforts, particularly those focused on young people, underlining their importance for the country’s future.
The Commander reaffirmed EUFOR’s continued commitment to supporting the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina in strengthening domestic capacities, contributing to a stable and prosperous future for all citizens.
As part of the programme, the Commander also visited Turkish Liaison and Observation Team (LOT) Houses in Travnik and Zenica today.
The visit provided an excellent opportunity for the Commander to gain first-hand insight into how EUFOR personnel engage with local communities in their daily activities. Turkish LOT teams from Travnik and Zenica briefed Major General Fronda on their ongoing community engagement efforts and the strong, trust-based relationships they have established with local citizens and institutions.
