EUFOR STRATCOM Addresses PCRC Audience at Europe House

Team from EUFOR STRATCOM delivered a presentation to almost 50 students, young activists and researchers from BiH, Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro. The presentation was a contribution to the Youth Academy “State of Peace” organized by the Post Conflict Research Centre (PCRC).

The academy brings together young people from across the region, with participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, and Croatia. The PCRC remains dedicated to maintaining a culture of peace and preventing violent conflict in the Western Balkans. EUFOR’s presentation centered on EUFOR’s mandate and activities involved in promoting peace and stability throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

The presentation conducted by STRATCOM personnel outlined role of EUFOR within Bosnia and Herzegovina, highlighting the close cooperation between EUFOR and the Armed Forces of BiH and law enforcement agencies which is built upon regular dialogue and frequent joint training exercises. 

The team also spoke on the role of EUFOR’s Liaison and Observation Teams, which operate from 20 LOT houses located in strategic locations throughout the country. Through sustained liaison with local communities, international organizations, NGOs and government agencies in their area of responsibility, LOT houses provide continuing reassurance to local communities, demonstrate the enduring commitment of EUFOR and the International Community to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

EUFOR’s STRATCOM team also discussed EUFOR’s upcoming Quick Response 2026 exercise, an annual exercise conducted by EUFOR to hone tactics, techniques and procedures ensuring that EUFOR maintains a high degree of operational readiness to support the national authorities maintaining stability throughout the country for all citizens. 

The attendees showed excellent engagement with the EUFOR STRATCOM team and demonstrated their interest in regional peace and stability work, taking the opportunity to pose questions and discuss the presentation throughout and following the event. EUFOR remains firmly committed to strengthening ties with local communities remaining steadfast in the pursuit of continued stability for all citizens throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina.
