Bosnian and Herzegovinian Scientist, Adnan Mehonić achieved another great success in his international academic career. At the age of only 39, he was appointed a Full Professor at the University College London (UCL), one of the most prestigious universities in the world.
Becoming a professor at this prestigious institution represents an extraordinary recognition, especially in the early career stage. Mehonić’s success is the result of years of scientific work, research, and innovation, as well as the international reputation he has built in advanced technologies.
At UCL, he was promoted to a Full Professor of Nano Electronics and Electronic Materials. His research is directed towards the development of energy-efficient nanoelectronics and functional materials, with a special focus on memristive devices.
This technology connects memory and computational data processing, which could play an important role in the development of new generations of computational systems inspired by the human brain.
In addition to his academic work, Mehonić is a co-founder and Chief Technology Officer at Intrinsic Semiconductor Technologies, a spin-off company launched at UCL.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, he is known as one of the most successful domestic scientists in the fields of nanoelectronics and artificial intelligence, and his results serve as further recognition of the knowledge and work of Bosnian and Herzegovinian experts on the world stage.
