The Secretary General of the European Movement in B&H Haris Plakalo believes that at the session of European Parliament, which will be held this week, this institution should put strong pressure on the European Commission and to bring a conclusion which would open chapter 23 and 24 in the fight against corruption and organized crime, without the implementation of the judgement “Sejdić-Finci”, which blocks negotiations with the EU and the opening of new chapters.
“B&H has come to the edge and it is necessary to urgently start with processes, above all those initiated by our neighbors. As we know, this is not possible due to a four year blockade and delay caused by the failure to implement the judgement “Sejdić-Finci” of the European Court for Human Rights”, Said Plakalo in a statement.
Because of this, he thinks that the European Parliament, at this week’s session dedicated to B&H should bring a conclusion that it would propose to the European Commission or even order the opening of chapters 23 and 24 on the fight against corruption and organized crime, regardless of the lack of implementation of “Sejdić-Finci”.
“It is time to start serious investigations in B&H that will restore the trust of citizens for their institutions. This is very important for all the processes conducted by the European administration in our country. Based on our natural resources, we have a chance to be one of the most advanced countries in the world”, said Plakako in his statement.
