europaBA_2014042316182762For the second year in a row now, EUSR will support the voluntary ecological action Let’s Do It! that aims to remove illegal garbage dump sites across Bosnia and Herzegovina. The initiative in BiH is a part of the wider global initiative Let’s Do It World Clean Up present in 110 countries around the world.

“This year’s action will take place in 112 municipalities all across BiH. We expect to have more than 50,000 volunteers participating. We are very happy and honoured that EUSR is once again supporting our action and we hope to have them with us next year as well, said the Coordinator of ‘ Let’s Do It!’, Junuz Elkaz.

“Let’s Do It! is a perfect example of how people can make a difference in their local community and the whole country. This initiative promotes ecological awareness, protection of environment, volunteerism and citizens’ participation and reflects many EU policies. Therefore, we are more than happy to participate and support this action,” said Head of EU Delegation and EU Special representative in BiH, Ambassador Peter Sorensen.

Let’s Do It! clean up action will take place on 26 – 27 April 2014 all across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
