The EU welcomes the decision of the RS authorities to not pursue further the police reserve amendments to the RS Law on Police and Internal Affairs.
This is the result of a several months’ long consultation process and dialogue between the EU and RS authorities, including with Member States experts.
The EU furthermore welcomes that the FBiH authorities have announced their intention to abandon similar plans to establish a reserve police force.
Both actions are positive steps in the process of EU integration.
