maglaj_poplava“According to the information that I have just received, the evacuation of the citizens from Maglaj with the help of helicopters of B&H Armed Forces has started”, confirmed in a statement for Fena, the Vice President of FB&H Svetozar Pudarić, who is currently heading Maglaj.

“I do not know exactly what to expect, beside the fact that in Maglaj can be entered only by boat. Communication is down and I heard that people are on the roofs of houses and buildings. What I see is that Bosna river spilled from the riverbed a few kilometers from Zenica toward Maglaj. Areas such as Nemila, Željezno Polje, Begov Han and Golubinje have been flooded. Houses and business facilities are under the water”, he emphasized.

Pudarić said that this morning tried to reach Tuzla and Lukavac, but unfortunately, he did not succeed because all the roads were blocked.
