Based on the data of the Central Bank of BiH, about 700 million BAM of direct foreign investments was recorded in the first nine months of the last year. According to preliminary data from FIPA, between 800 and 950 million BAM of direct foreign investments was recorded in the year of 2017, and we will obtain more precise data in March this year. According to the signed contracts, the last year was the most successful in history, as stated by the director of FIPA.

“We received data, which were not included in the material, that in the six months of 2017 was recorded an increase of 68 % in foreign investments, in comparison to the same period in 2016. In the nine months of the year of 2017 was recorded an increase of 60 % compared to the nine months of 2016,” said Milinic.

”This is an increase that has not been recorded since the world economic crisis,” stated Milinic.

The work of FIPA in the last year was recognized at the world level, which is confirmed by international recognitions. Milinic urged the Council of Ministers of BiH to support the action “Invest in BiH”.

”We need to make our image in the world  better and show foreign investors that there is no place for fear here and that our investments are safe. We have to tell the world that BiH is open to all foreign investments,” stated Milinic.

He noted that Serbia is giving 7,000 EUR of incentives for every newly opened workplace, and that BiH must follow those steps in stimulating foreign investors.
