On 15 January, Public institution Museum of Sarajevo will open a thematic exhibition named ”Karagoz and magician”. The exhibition will be opened in the small gallery of Brus-bezistan in Sarajevo.

Apart from permanent exhibition, the Museum tries to present treasures that are being kept in the museum depots, on similar thematic exhibitions, and one of them is the collection from the Austro-Hungarian era – the collection of Hasib Ramić, who was an actor, magician and entertainer and an artist who made his own props.

He lived and worked in the first half of the last century, and after he died, his entire collection ended in the museum.

The museum stated: ”This collection has never been exposed to public, and besides the exhibition to public, we also want to stimulate interest for this forgotten branch of theatre – ”Karagoz”, theatre of shadows”

The exhibition ”Karagoz and magician” will be opened until 10 February.
