otokaAt the Olympic pool Sarajevo on Otoka, yesterday was opened the first underwater exhibition of metal sculptures which present metal sculptures of diver Zlatan Hamamdzic, whose inspiration and motive is the animate and inanimate aquatic life.

There are 23 sculptures under the water and almost 60 smaller sculptures over the water. The aim of the exhibition is the promotion and popularization of diving as a recreational and sports disciplines and introduction of beginners with diving equipment and the process of training.

Hamamdzic said that he feels tired but happy, and he is glad to make something new in this region.

“I was making small sculptures for years, and I prepared the big ones in half of a year. Octopus is my favorite and most interesting exhibit because I invested a lot of effort. It contains plenty of kilograms of wire,” said Hamamdzic.

The exhibition at the Olympic pool will last until 5 pm and visitors can see it by self-diving by using masks and snorkels and adult visitors will be able to make a trial dive with the help of a diving instructor.

After the Olympic pool, exhibition will move to the restaurant Superfood where it will stay for 15 days, and everyone interested will be able to visit it.

The exhibition was organized by the Club of underwater activities “Explorer” and Olympic Pool Sarajevo.
