I do not have the completed cabinet yet, but it will be ready in the sense of nominating the persons from parties that make up the majority in the BiH Parliament in the next five to six days,” said in a statement to the media Denis Zvizdić (SDA), a candidate for the position of the Council of Ministers Chair.
He says it is unrealistic to expect it to be on Wednesday, but he assumes that by the end of the week certainly they will have the names of candidates for ministerial posts that will form the future convocation of the Council of Ministers.
“We have enough time to perform the negotiations with all the parties that make up the majority and for these parties to propose their candidates for the composition of the Council of Ministers,” said Zvizdić.
He added that, according to the law, in principle there is no deadline, and that the law provides that the Chairman should, within 35 days provide the names of the ministers, followed by verification and approval in the BiH House of Representatives.
Asked whether the appointment of the Council of Ministers depends on the agreement on the Government of FBiH, Zvizdić said that this is not the case and that the two processes are not related, but that in practice some are trying to make connection between the two processes.
He added that the government of the Sarajevo Canton should also be appointed at the end of next week at the latest.
