After reviewing the ethnic structure of the appointed members of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina it has been established that the requirements under the Constitution of FBiH on the representation of the constituent peoples have not been met, therefore the Vice President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Milan Dunović in order to protect the FBiH Constitution withdrew his consent to appoint the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers in the Government of FBiH.
The decision was supposed to be confirmed by the House of Representatives today at the special session that was scheduled for yesterday but was first delayed and in the end was not held at all.
“The FBiH Constitution provides that the Government of FBiH is consisted of eight ministers from the Bosniak people, five ministers from the Croat people, and three ministers from the Serb people, while one minister among other nations may be appointed by Prime Minister from the quota of the largest constituent people,” explained Dunović.
