Extended Mission of Two Protection and Rescue Teams from BiH in Slovenia

Last night, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at an extraordinary telephonic session, passed the Decision on amending and supplementing the decision on approving funds from the current reserve of the Budget of the Institutions of BiH and International Obligations of BiH for the year 2023 to finance the costs of sending protection and rescue teams from BiH for the purpose of providing international aid To the Government of the Republic of Slovenia in remediating the consequences of floods.

The amendments to the Decision approve the extension of the mission of two protection and rescue teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina, which are working on remediation of the consequences of recent floods in the Republic of Slovenia, namely the team of the Federal Administration of Civil Protection of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina until August 25, 2023, and the team of the Republic Civil Protection Administration of Republika Srpska until August 31, 2023, with heavy machinery and necessary personnel.

At the same time, the total amount approved from the current budget reserve of BiH institutions and international obligations of BiH for financing the costs of teams from BiH for providing international assistance to the Government of the Republic of Slovenia is increased by 150 thousand BAM and now amounts to 500 thousand BAM.

We remind you that the BiH Council of Ministers, at the 7th extraordinary telephone session, held on August 10, 2023, made a decision approving the dispatch of two protection and rescue teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the team of the Federal Administration of Civil Protection of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the team of the Republic administration of civil protection of the Republika Srpska, with heavy machinery and necessary personnel. At the same time, 350 thousand BAM was allocated to finance the costs of these teams.
