The suspended director of the Federal Administration of Civil Protection, Fahrudin Solak, was arrested on Thursday late night after being questioned by the Agency for Investigation and Protection of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He will spend the night at this police agency. Solak was brought to the SIPA premises on Thursday afternoon, and the interrogation lasted several hours.

Apart from him, the Prime Minister of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina entity Fadil Novalic and the owner of the company “Srebrena Malina” Fikret Hodzic were questioned also.

Solak was detained as part of the “Respirators” case, which raised a lot of questions in the public after it was revealed that FUCZ chose a company that grows and processes fruits and vegetables to import 100 Chinese respirators worth 10.5 million BAM.

Solak’s lawyer Kadrija Kolic left the SIPA premises at around 10 pm without his client. SIPA previously searched the premises of the FUCZ and the Federal Government and seized certain documents and mobile phones.

The Prosecutor’s Office of BiH has taken over the investigation in this case.
