The young photographer Maja Topcagic was born in Bihac 25 years ago, and her photos literally take your breath away, writes BH news agency Patria.
Her photos were published on covers of numerous magazines, books, the Italian edition of fashion magazine Vogue, the American Popular Photography, as well as covers of leading BH magazines.
Everything she knows about photography, she has learned by herself. As a 19 year-old she got her first digital camera which changed her life. Since then photography is her greatest love.
Even though she studied mathematics and IT, she never gave up photography. She is mostly faced with art photography and female models.
“I aim for my photos to be fairytale-like and magic so I choose girls that have unusual facial lines for models, natural beauty, and who are expressing something that will attract the eye of the observer. Also, I write my dreams, and sometimes I realize them”, said Maja.
She finds inspiration in movies, books, normal people, conversations and simply in the view of the world through her own eyes.
Many girls, women, mothers have been in front of her camera. One of them is Aida Djapo, her only vintage model, designer Nina Varga, as well as other girls. Some of Maja’s most well-known photography presents redhead girls with blue eyes. She pays special attention to them. She edits her photography on computer software where she spends up to ten hours a day.
Her greatest challenge are weddings and children; as she says, it is a great responsibility when you are photographing the most important day of someone’s life.
