Halid Beslic recently performed in Velika near Pozega, and then in an interview, he talked about work and holidays and revealed who he likes to spend time with the most.

He recently turned 70. Although his performances are synonymous with good times, he admitted that he does not like to celebrate his birthday.

“I don’t normally celebrate my birthday. I don’t have anything to celebrate, but it’s made public and then there are a million calls that day,” he said.

Last month, his duet with Sinisa Vuco called “Dragi Boze” (Dear God) was published. This song represents a combination of hard rock and sevdah, creating an interesting musical combination that both artists described as a complete hit.

“I recorded that a long time ago and forgot about it. The other day, Vuco called me and said: ‘Here, we have finished the song.’ I said: ‘Finally, finally,'” Beslic stated.

During the holidays, it is important for him, like everyone else, that his family be together. He added that, when he is not at performances, he prefers to spend time with his grandchildren.

“I have twins, a grandson, and a granddaughter and that’s my world, that’s the end of my story,” Beslic concluded.
