Halid Bešlić spoke about the heart surgery he had and about the lifestyle he now maintains.
Our legendary singer is celebrating his 70th birthday today, and he revealed to InMagazin how he feels.
“You can see that I’m fine, not bad! The years go by, it’s inevitable, they say, “Bare cemetery are closer, no one comes back from Bare!”, declared the legendary singer.
Bešlić is satisfied with his current state of health and pointed out that he changed some habits after the stent installation.
“It’s not bad considering all the difficulties I’ve had throughout my life and with my health, I’ve stabilized a bit and everything is ok. It is good. After that stent, I’ve been living the hardest I’ve ever had. There are no bars, no going out, it’s not that I don’t want to, but I guess the time has come. I’m used to going home and I’ve found myself in some other things, so the pub is no longer as primary for me as it used to be. Before, life without a pub meant nothing,” he admitted.
Although he has entered his eighth decade, Halid Beslic performs as if he is in the prime of his youth. He pointed out that he still finds a measure in everything.
“Well, to be honest, it is, but in the context, I dose it, I don’t cross the line,” he says.
He also revealed how much of a role his wife Sejda played in his career, who, as he pointed out, must hear every song.
“She always hears it, but she wouldn’t say she likes it, and if she doesn’t like it, there’s no way. We always let her hear the song because she is quite musical and has hit the mark quite a few times,” pointed out Bešlić.
Bešlić has been happily married to Sejda Bešlić since 1977. Both have repeatedly emphasized that only death can separate them. They also got a son, Dino, who made them happy nine years ago with grandchildren. The twins Lamija and Belmin make him extremely happy, so he says that their happiness and joy are his greatest reward and inspiration in life.
It is granddaughter Lamija who is very interested in music: “My granddaughter really enjoys music, that’s why I included her in my music video for the song Taman je”, she surprises us and proudly says that it is a real recording of her singing his song at home. “Now she is 9 years old, she is in the 2nd grade. She has just started learning to play the cello,” emphasizing that she is a very good musician. The boy is currently more interested in football.
