The football team of Bosnia and Herzegovina had special support during the open training held at the America First Field stadium, whose doors were opened for fans by the decision of coach Sergej Barbarez. About a thousand visitors took advantage of the opportunity to follow the work of “Dragons” from the stands, who cheered on the BiH national team from the stands and enjoyed the unique atmosphere ahead of the next challenges at the World Cup.

There was a special enthusiasm among those present among the youngest fans. After the training, the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team members took time to socialize with children and other fans, signing autographs, taking photos and talking with those who follow and support them.

Although the younger members of the national team attracted a lot of attention, judging by the reactions of the audience, captain Edin Džeko still enjoys a special status among the fans. His appearance caused the greatest ovation, and many attendees wanted a photo with him.

National team members Tarik Muharemović and Jovo Lukić addressed the media.

“We know what kind of team Switzerland is and we don’t need to look at the fact that they played a draw against Qatar. We need to look at us, to win that game. To get back to the track we played against Romania, Wales and Italy. We are only interested in getting through the group, winning as many games as possible and going as far as possible in the World Cup. As you can see, we must not underestimate any opponent”, said Muharemović, among other things.

“We have to approach the match against Switzerland as seriously as possible if we want to get a positive result. It’s a quality team, they showed it against Qatar where they had more than their game even though they didn’t win. We also have quality, we’ll do our best and we’ll see what happens,” said the only scorer at the meeting with Canada, Jovo Lukić.

The Dragons will have two more training sessions in Salt Lake City before the match with Switzerland, which will be played on June 18 in Los Angeles.
