farma_spreca_kalesija1Agricultural good “Farm Spreca“ was one of the largest in Bosnia and Herzegovina in pre- war and post- war period. It disposed with about 1000 cows and about 4500 ha of land.

Farm was located in Sprecansko polje, and was involved in milk production and farming. However, farm Spreca in post- war years, after the privatization, could not handle challenges so it went to bankruptcy, remained without a single cow, completely stopped milk production, and left complete land which was available.

Parallel with the reconstruction of stables and other additional facilities on the farm, Milkos also started purchasing cows. They bought a new machinery and equipment. Until now, about 17 million BAM are invested in this project.

Because of the problems with the lack of land, development of the farm is slower than it was expected- Although, by the decision of the Council of Tuzla Canton, was promised to farm, that is to its purchaser, 1300 ha of land, farm now has about 835 ha.

Regardless of all the problems encountered by, farm today has about 1500 cows, daily production of about 16.000 l of milk and 83 employees. Also, crops of pear, apple, plum and raspberry are built and continuation of intensive work on the orchard is planned.
