Father of the Boy who shot the Teacher was arrested

Officers of the Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Tuzla Canton arrested this afternoon the father of a minor boy who shot teacher Nedim Osmanović at the Lukavac Grad Elementary School around 9 o’clock this morning.

The arrest was made by order of the competent court and the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office, which is in charge of the investigation, and the family home was previously searched.

“The father is suspected of the criminal offense of neglecting or abusing a child or minor and of the criminal offense under Article 72 of the Law on Weapons and Ammunition of the TK (Unauthorized acquisition, possession and sale of weapons and essential parts for weapons). Investigators will conduct a criminal investigation, after which this person will be handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office, where further actions will be taken against the suspect – said Admir Arnautović, spokesman for the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Tuzla Canton.

Teacher Nedim Osmanović was operated on at the Tuzla University of Applied Sciences, he is in a stable condition, but his life is still in danger.

The minor boy was detained in the premises of the Lukavac Police Station.

Due to today’s unfortunate event, the school year has ended in the area of Tuzla Canton.
