In seven out of ten cantons in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republika Srpska and Brčko District, classes in primary and secondary schools begin today.

The new school year begins in the Una-Sana, Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Zenica-Doboj, Central Bosnia and Sarajevo Cantons, as well as Canton 10. In the Gymnasium and Mixed High School in Sanski Most (due to the tragic event of August 21), classes will begin on September 9th.

Also, on September 9th, classes will begin in the West Herzegovina Canton, as well as in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, where the HNK Government made a decision to postpone the start of classes for one week due to extremely high temperatures.

For the same reasons, the decision to postpone the start of classes was made by the competent Ministry of Education in Posavina Canton, and classes in all primary and secondary schools there will begin on September 9, that is, they have been extended by one week.

“Each new school year brings with it new challenges, opportunities for learning, growth and development. We are convinced that all students, with the support of their teachers and parents, will achieve their goals and fulfill their potential. We wish you success in your work and much satisfaction in learning. May the new school year be filled with knowledge, friendships and successes,” the Federal Ministry of Education and Science said.
