VEÈERAS OTVARANJE DIONICE AUTOCESTE NA SARAJEVSKOJ ZAOBILAZNICIThe construction of the motorway section Sarajevo North, the public enterprise ‘Autoceste Federacije BiH’ (FBiH Motorways) has completed its part of the job on the Sarajevo bypass.

The FBiH Motorways says that the construction of access roads to the motorway is not in their jurisdiction but that lower level authorities are responsible for it, ‘JP Ceste FBiH’ and the Sarajevo Canton Roads Directorate.

They also stated that the construction of part of the LOT 3B, constructed by FBiH Motorways, will start as soon as the blockade by mayor of Ilidža Senaid Memić ends who has decided to suspend the expropriation process and it is emphasized that this work can be completed in six months.

They also state that, according to their knowledge, access roads from direction of Vogošća, Stup over Butila will also not be completed in nearer future.

“Our goal is to finish the section Sarajevo West – Tarčin by September, including the Lepenica loop which will enable redirection of traffic from Mostar, and central Bosnia to the loops Tarčin and Lepenica.

This will be another contribution to the traffic connecting of BiH, says the FBiH Motorways noting that in the last three years intensity of construction significantly increased but that the other do not follow their pace.

Public Enterprise FBiH Motorways last week put in operation nine kilometers-long section Sarajevo north – Sarajevo west.

Opening for traffic of the Sarajevo bypass should reduce and relieve traffic jams in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while vehicles traveling from the direction of Zenica towards Mostar will be able to take the motorway to Vlakovo and avoid entering the city.
