FBiH Railways: We will stop Traffic, we have the lowest Wages in the Country

The Independent Union of the Executive Staff of the Federation of BiH (FBiH) Railways reacted after the adoption of the FBiH budget and the proposed amendment, which takes 10 million BAM from the FBiH Railways.

The Union warned all representatives in the federal parliament that they are endangering the existence of workers and the entire company.

”We will just mention that with this act you have aroused the anger of the workers and that as a union we will take a stand and will not allow a political fight over the Railways of the FBiH. This union is not interested in politics but in the workers and the company. The executive staff is the one who has all the leverage to stop traffic, and that will certainly happen if this amendment is adopted,” they stated.

Moreover, they pointed out that railway workers have the lowest wages in the country and that negotiations for a new collective agreement are underway, and they believe that they can only be harmed by the actions of representatives in the FBiH House of Representatives.

”We will not allow this, so count on a strike and stoppage of railway traffic, and thus the collapse of the economy in the whole of BiH,” it was stated in the announcement of the Union.
