Federal Minister of Internal Affairs Ramo Isak responded to statements of the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Nenad Nesic, to whom he said that he can talk about the principle of presumption of innocence and guilt only when he begins to respect the verdicts of domestic and international courts for the genocide committed against Bosniaks.
“Minister Nesic should be aware that the Court of BiH has confirmed the indictment against the president of the BiH entity Republika Srpska (RS) Milorad Dodik for the criminal offense of failure to execute the decisions of the High Representative in BiH. I don’t want to waste time explaining the criminal legislation to Minister Nesic because I think he must know the terms and processes.
Also, it’s crazy for me to teach my colleague Nesic to read, because these are things that are taught in elementary school. I am the Federal Minister of Internal Affairs, and of course, I will not “arrest” Milorad Dodik. Where have you seen any minister arrest someone? If you had read my reaction and if you knew how the security system services work, it would have been clear to you.
If the Court of BiH issues an order to deprive Milorad Dodik of his liberty – the Federal Police Administration of the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs will carry out that order. The same will be carried out by the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), which is the administrative organization within the ministry you lead. Will you, Minister of Security of the State of BiH, say that SIPA will disobey the order of the Court of BiH?
You can only talk about the presumption of innocence and established guilt of Milorad Dodik or anyone else when you start respecting the verdicts of domestic and international courts for the genocide committed against Bosniaks.
And as for, as you say, “bodybuilding” – Nenad, I invite you to come to me for self-defense training, since I am an instructor and master of martial arts, so that you can finally walk without fear in our beautiful BiH, in which the RS is one of two entities,” Minister Isak stated.
Yesterday, Minister Isak sent the Minister of Security of BiH, Nenad Nesic, a copy of the Criminal Code of BiH and the Srebrenica Genocide Denial Report 2023, which was compiled for the needs and on behalf of the Srebrenica Memorial Center – Potocari, all with the aim of educating Minister Nesic on criminal legislation, especially in the part that refers to the ban on denying genocide and glorifying war criminals.
