Police officers of the Federal Police Administration, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, have been conducting the operational-tactical operation “Corridor” since early morning today. On that occasion, 15 people were arrested.

The operation is being carried out with the aim of documenting criminal offenses of a corrupt nature, namely “Associating for the purpose of committing criminal offenses” in connection with the criminal offense, “Abuse of position or authority”, “Concluding a harmful contract” and “Money laundering”.

As part of the above activities, in accordance with the Orders of the Cantonal Court in Mostar, searches of movable and immovable property of suspects in the areas of the Sarajevo Canton, Tuzla Canton, Central Bosnia Canton and Herzegovina-Neretva Canton were carried out with the participation and assistance of the competent cantonal ministries of interior.

“On that occasion, 15 persons were deprived of their liberty, who are being criminally processed, or interrogated as suspects, in the official premises of the Federal Police Administration, and in addition to the above, searches were also carried out at the addresses of four legal entities located in the Sarajevo Canton,” the FUP announced.

Three persons are currently unavailable, are outside BiH, and operational searches will be announced for the same persons.

“The case was primarily formed based on a report filed by a natural person from abroad in 2022, and relates to illegalities during the construction process of the Corridor Vc motorway, Vranduk – Ponirak subsection, due to suspicion that during the construction of the aforementioned subsection, JP Autoceste FBiH d.o.o. has been damaged to date by approximately 19.5 million euros,” the statement added.

Persons deprived of their liberty will, after criminal processing within the legal deadline after the acting prosecutor makes a decision, be handed over for further jurisdiction to the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton with a Report on the committed criminal offense.

We remind you that the action arrested the former director of the FBiH Motorways Elmedin Voloder, the subject of the investigation, and Jasmin Bučo, former executive director of the FBiH Motorway for design and construction, former director of the FBiH Motorway Adnan Terzić and others.
