Federal Minister of the Interior Ramo Isak held a meeting with the manager of the Safe Internet Center in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Amela Efendić, with whom he discussed further activities to prevent the abuse of children and young people in the digital environment, peer violence, hate speech and the education of children and young people in the area violence.

Minister Isak recognized the importance of the Center for Safe Internet in Bosnia and Herzegovina – EMMAUS, which, together with the US Embassy, made an exceptional contribution to the training of police officers of the Federal Police Administration.

It is planned that representatives of the Center for Safe Internet in Bosnia and Herzegovina, together with police officers of the Federal Police Administration, will educate children and young people about the dangers they face in the real and digital environment.

Among other things, the possibility of establishing an Amber Alert system in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina was discussed at the meeting.

Federal Minister Ramo Isak recognized the importance of establishing this system from the beginning of his tenure and, in accordance with his competences, continuously coordinates with the director of the Federal Police Administration regarding the possibility of establishing the aforementioned system.

At the meeting, it was stated that the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will go in the direction of introducing the classic model of the Amber Alert system, that is, the American system, which has proven to be the most successful.

It was concluded that the Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Police Administration will intensify cooperation with the Center for Safe Internet in connection with the establishment of the Amber Alert system, which has already been established in more than 28 countries, FMUP announced.
