“In this context, July 11, which has been accepted to raise awareness throughout the world through special commemorative events, education and public awareness activities that will be held in memory and honor of the victims of the genocide in Srebrenica, is celebrated in our country with the aim of sharing the pain and condemnation of genocide and crimes against humanity and will be marked as the ‘International Day of Remembrance of the Genocide in Srebrenica in 1995,” the decision stated.

It was added that the activities that will be organized as part of the marking of July 11, the International Day and Remembrance of the Genocide in Srebrenica, will be carried out in cooperation with relevant public institutions and organizations under the coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
