Festival Srebrenica Wave begins today

Srebrenica Wave esrebrenica.baThe second Srebrenica Wave festival will be opened today in Srebrenica and will last until August 7.

On the first day of the festival, first workshops and a basket tournament will be held.

Five days of festival will be filled with workshops in photography, writing and guitar playing, tournaments in basket, several music concerts and two film screenings, as well as with a review match between veterans of the former Srebrenica Basketball Club Feros and Vihor from Bratunac.

Local craftsmen will present their products and women will present theirs, and program will end with a free lunch in the city park for all interested ones, where food specialties from this area will be presented.

Organizer of this festival is the recently formed youth network of Europe BET-NET, in cooperation with several associations and individuals from Srebrenica.

Festival is foreseen as a social-developmental project that should enable people to meet and establish different cultural and business relations. The festival is also aimed at encouraging crafts, tourism, hospitality and other activities in which new workplaces can be opened.
