Tuzla_panorama_1 (3)As part of the AFTERCARE Program for 2013, representatives of the Agency for Improving Foreign Investment in BIH (FIPA), municipality Tuzla and the Ministry for Development and Entrepreneurship of Tuzla Canton visited several businesses from the area of Tuzla Canton.

The companies visited this time were those with elements of foreign investment: Xella BH d.o.o. Tuzla, which is a member of the big international company from Germany Xella International and from 2009 produces and sells building material under the name YTONG in BIH, and Earth Tec d.o.o. Tuzla, which is part of Earth Tec Group from Italy and deals with production of metal structures and renewable energy sources.

In addition to the visits to the companies that include elements of foreign investment, there was a discussion held with representatives of the Development Entrepreneurship Center-Incubator ‘Lipnica’ that represents a quality instrument of support for new businesses that require that support for its survival, as well as existing companies that, under favorable conditions, to a certain phase, could develop to RPC.

Also, a meeting was held with the representative of the company Uni Bristol d.o.o. Tuzla that invests around 100 million euros in the construction of the complex “Mellain”, and which represents one of the biggest investments in the past decade in Tuzla.

With representatives of the companies, they spoke of the experiences of business in BiH, obstacles and problems that were encountered in business and plans for the future and for further business expansion.

As with previous visits, this one was also realized though a collaborative network of post-investment support to foreign investors in BiH, where an agreement is envisaged on cooperation between the BiH Council of Ministers and the International Financial Corporation (IFC) on the project of improving the business environment in BIH, which consists of the Agency for Improving Foreign Investment in BiH (FIPA).
