Numerous cyclists do not make a break during all twelve months of the calendar year, but for all those who care about the seasons, Giro di Sarajevo is preparing the finals of this year’s season in a great way and for all generations.

In cooperation with the Center for Sport and Recreation Sarajevo and with the support of the Municipality Centar, Giro will organize the first Bike Fest Park Jezero on Sunday, October 15, which will include the content for all those who have cycling in their hearts.

“We have been preparing something similar for a long period of time, and this should serve as an introduction to something that we will realize maybe even next year. We will organize a real family day at the parking lot in front of the Kosevo Stadium, and the youngest cyclists, as well as anyone interested in this topic, will learn from our professionals about sports, recreational or cycling in the urban environment, bicycle parts, how to perform minor repairs etc. This will be a fun experience for children, and professional help will be provided by M-Bike Shop,” said Emir Hulusic, leader of the Team Giro.

He noted that children who do not have their own bicycle will get some two-wheelers that they will be able to use, and juices, treats, and sandwiches are provided for all participants. Moreover, children up to seven years of age will have the opportunity to participate in an interesting game of treasure hunt at the end of the event, but not before they take part in cheering for their favorites in the time trial race.

“Driving on a chronometer or against clock is one of the simplest cycling competitions but also one of the most difficult ones. The first twenty competitors who apply before the race will have the right to participate in the race. The fastest three participants will receive valuable awards and medals,” said Hulusic.

Workshops and schools for children and adults will start at 1 PM, and the start of time trial race is scheduled for 2.30 PM. After the last competitor passes through the goal line, the winner will be announced at the ceremony, after which the event will be completed.

Bike Fest Park Jezero is organized by Giro di Sarajevo and Center for Sport and Recreation, with the support of the Municipality of Centar. The project is supported by Coca-Cola HBC BH, M-Bike Shop, Quickie Croissants, Bracom, Dukat Fit, Only One and Hostel Franz Ferdinand.
