Ukraine has dismissed First Deputy Minister of Defense Oleksandr Pavliuk, the representative announced.
Taras Melnichuk wrote on Telegram that Pavliuk will “take another position”, without specifying which one.
Unofficially, Pavliuk could take over as the new commander of the ground forces.
Earlier this week, President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Oleksandr Sirsky as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces after replacing Valery Zaluzhny, who had held the post since July 2021.
Zelenski said that “a reset, a new beginning is necessary”.
