First Migrants to arrive in Slavonski Brod Today

Slavonski Brod Refugee Camp vecernji.hrThe winter transit center in Slavonski Brod should host the first migrants today, announced the Minister of Internal Affairs of Croatia Ranko Ostojić.

Ostojić stated that the center in Slavonski Brod is ready to accommodate and take care of 5,000 people, and that everything is ready for reception.

First migrants should have arrived in the winter transit center yesterday, but their arrival was rescheduled for today, precisely when everything for the entire transport is ready in Šid, the Croatian media reported.

“The first train in Slavonski Brod is expected on Tuesday morning. We will be one day behind the schedule, but we will gain time to transport the people and services from Opatovac. Full operation of the camp in Slavonski Brod will begin on Wednesday”, Ostojić announced yesterday.

According to Ostojić, point in Bapska and camp in Opatovac will be gradually closed as of tomorrow.
