Fish processing factory opened in Rogatica

ribaIn Slap Žepa in Rogatica, a fish processing factory ‘Ribarstvo Slap’ was opened, owned by Muhamed Tabaković, and RS Government invested 200 000 BAM in it, and FBiH Governement 400 000 BAM.

The factory was opened by the Minister of Labour, Veterans and Protection of the Disabled of RS Petar Đokić and minister of Refugees and Displaced Persons of FBIH Adil Osmanović.

Đokić said that RS Government has planned to invest more money to ‘Ribarstvo Slap’ in order to promote sustainable return.

Osmanović said that the factory produces 700 tons of trout annually and noted that the return must be seen as an economic issue and investments should be made in order to make a sustainable return.

Owner of ‘Ribarstvo Slap’ Muhamed Tabaković said that the factory that employs 18 workers had 2 640 000 of investments, and over a million came from credits.

He announced that by the end of the year 30 more workers should be employed.

The construction of the factory started in July last year, and the system of the production is in accordance with European standards and it will enable the fish to be fully processed and marketed in BiH and Europe.

Head of Rogatica municipality Tomislav Puhalac attended the opening ceremony.
