Five people have died in a mid-air collision between two civilian helicopters in Finland, police said.

The helicopters crashed around midday near Eura Airport after taking off together from the Estonian capital Tallinn.

Authorities found the wreckage of the helicopters in a wooded area, and police said there were two people in one helicopter and three in the other.

The helicopters were foreign-registered civilian helicopters.

Police are investigating the accident, and Finnish and Estonian officials said they were working together on the investigation.
