Five Persons arrested for organized Sale of Narcotics in Sarajevo

Carrying out planned activities to suppress the organized sale of narcotics in the Sarajevo Canton, under the supervision of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office of Canton Sarajevo, police officers of the Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of CS arrested five people.

These are E.B., born in 1989, R.M., born in 1994, S.Č., born in 1989, E.A., born in 1991 and M.F., born in 1983, all residing in Sarajevo. They were arrested due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of unauthorized production and distribution of narcotics.

Based on the orders of the Municipal Court in Sarajevo, 11 searches were conducted at various locations in the Sarajevo Canton, a search of one restaurant, as well as two passenger vehicles.

A search of an apartment used by E.B. in the municipality of Novi grad Sarajevo, was found and seized: about 900 grams of substance associated with the narcotic drug heroin (market value of about 55,000 BAM), six mobile phones and a large sum of money from the resale of narcotic drugs.

Also, in searches at other locations, the following were found and seized: 300 grams of dry herbal substance associated with the narcotic drug marijuana, 60 grams of substance associated with the narcotic drug speed, 10 tablets associated with the narcotic drug ecstasy, four digital scales, a vacuum device and drug repackaging equipment.

In addition to the five mentioned persons who were deprived of liberty, during the mentioned activities, six more persons were detained and interrogated in the official premises.

Persons deprived of their liberty were handed over to the premises of the Unit for Security of Facilities and Detention of Persons Deprived of Liberty of the Sarajevo Canton Ministry of the Interior.

Police officers, under the supervision of the acting prosecutors of the Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office, are continuing the criminal investigation against the mentioned persons, the CS Ministry of the Interior stated in the press release.
