Five Persons have been deprived of their Liberty in BiH

Police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska, under the supervision of the District Public Prosecutor’s Office of Trebinje, are carrying out the continuation of the operation codenamed “Fire”, which refers to the investigation of the criminal acts of damaging and confiscating other people’s property and causing general danger, committed in 2020 and 2021 in the area of Trebinje, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska announced.

The announcement states that five persons have been deprived of their liberty who are connected to the commission of other criminal acts – illegal production and trafficking of narcotic drugs, facilitating the consumption of narcotic drugs, serious theft and abuse of official position or authority.

Searches are underway at several locations in the Trebinje area.

After the activities carried out by the Criminal Police Department with the Directorate for Organized and Serious Crime and the Trebinje Police Department, the competent prosecutor’s office will be provided with a Report on the committed criminal offense against a total of 11 persons.

Among the persons deprived of their liberty are a police officer of the Police Station Trebinje, who will be suspended, and a former member of the Ministry of Interior, according to the announcement.
