Over 9.2 Million BAM allocated for Improvement of the socio-economic Status of the Veterans

The Government of the Federation of BiH, at the proposal of the Federal Ministry for Veterans and Disabled Persons of the Defense and Liberation War, has made decisions on the adoption of five programs for the expenditure of part of the funds intended for improving the socio-economic status of members of the veteran population and preserving the achievements of the defense and liberation war, determined by the Budget of the Federation of BiH for 2026 for this ministry in the total amount of 9,220,000 BAM.

Two decisions relate to current transfers to individuals, and three to current transfers to non-profit organizations.

Within the framework of current transfers to individuals for assistance in the treatment of veterans, an amount of 4,000,000 BAM is planned, and 2,300,000 BAM is planned for co-financing the costs of funerals and memorial services for members of the veteran population.

The transfer for co-financing the construction of memorials, the arrangement of cemeteries and graveyards is planned in the amount of 1,600,000 BAM, for marking significant dates 500,000 BAM, and 820,000 BAM for associations arising from the last defense and liberation war, the FBiH Government announced.
