Flight over the Highway: Opening of the New Section of the Sarajevo Bypass on Tuesday

highway Banja LukaConstruction works on LOT 2A of the Sarajevo bypass are completed, and the investor of the project was the PE Roads of the FB&H, while the entire facility is located on the territory of the municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo.

Official opening of this road will be held on the 24th of November at 11 a.m., at the occasion of the Statehood Day of B&H (November 25).

Besides the part of the Sarajevo bypass that will be opened on Tuesday, the preparations for the construction of the last section of Sarajevo Bypass – LOT 2C, which will be connecting roundabout in Brijesce with the Safeta Zajke Street, is in full swing.

The municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo and Canton Sarajevo will provide funds for the expropriation of the land (about 4.2 million BA,) while the investor of the construction, which will cost about 12 million BAM, will be PE Roads of FB&H.

It is expected that the construction works on the Lot 2C start in March or April 2016.
