egrlicThe worst thing that happened to us during these floods is that the people who have lost their homes loved ones, lost their jobs as well. Through their personal earnings, they will not be able to repair the material damage, said the chairman of Foreign trade Chamber, Ahmet Egrlić.

He added that approximately over a hundred BH manufacturing companies were damaged or completely ceased their production and that the start of their production is uncertain.

“What is worrying is that after this misfortune in Bosnia-Herzegovina, there will certainly be a decline in exports, a decline in fresh capital and a falling to take tax and non-tax revenues. In addition, complete flow of money, people and goods will be decreased by nearly 30 percent”, said Egrlić. He emphasizes that he does not know for how long this situation will last and when the companies will be able to start the production again. Important is that affected companies were extremely promising, and that had a trade on the market of the European Union. The affected spheres of economy were wood processing, textile, metal and other productions.

Another concern and about which we have information is that a very small number of firms had insurance. Currently, we do not have funds that can help these companies”, explained Egrlić .
