FlyBosnia has recently completed its inaugural flight from Sarajevo (SJJ) to Kuwait (KWI). According to news website Kongres, on May 2nd the airline’s lone Airbus A319 made its landing three hours later than the original plan.

Nevertheless, waiting to greet the plane was a traditional water cannon salute. This was the first of two special FlyBosnia flights between the two cities. The 2nd flight will take place on May 7th.

After this, regularly scheduled service will begin on June 4th.

FlyBosnia plans to operate this route three times per week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The flight will have the number FBS118 from Sarajevo to Kuwait and last 4 hours and 30 minutes. The return journey will be FBS119 and take slightly longer – 5 hours and 5 minutes, Simple Flying reported.

FlyBosnia intends on becoming the national carrier of Bosnia and Herzegovina, however, the focus will be put on sustainability.
