Bosnia and Herzegovina’s (BiH) Foreign Minister Igor Crnadak met in Nicosia with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The main topics of the meeting were the development of bilateral relations between BiH and the Russian Federation, with particular emphasis on economic relations and foreign trade, as well as on the political situation in BiH and in the Western Balkans region.
During the meeting, Minister Crnadak stressed the importance of the support given by the Russian Federation, a member of the Peace Implementation Council, to the Dayton Agreement and the need to reach an internal agreement in BiH.
Moreover, Lavrov emphasized that the Russian Federation respects the commitment of BiH to join the European Union and appreciated the decision of all levels of government in BiH to develop good relations with the Russian Federation at the same time.
