The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) has not yet made an offcial decision on purchase of any building where federal institutions will be located, Fadil Novalic, Prime Minister of FBiH confirmed for portal Klix.ba.
After the announcement that the executive power in FBiH is interested in buying the Student Center building, the story on the permanent placement of the institutions of the Federation of BiH has been very popular in the media.
On this occasion, PM Novalic said that the FBiH Government is considering several locations, including the building in the Novi Grad Municipality, or the building of the Student Center, which is currently under the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH.
“The final decision has not been made yet, we have to analyze all the options in detail from the perspective of functionality and cost-effectiveness.” At this point, I can only say that finding a permanent residence of the Government is inevitable,” Novalić added.
To recall, in the past few years, several facilities were mentioned by the FBiH Government as potential headquarters of the FBiH executive agencies.
Some of the potential facilities were: the building of Energoinvest in the Sarajevo settlement of Pofalici, and the Primary Hospital building. Dr. Abdulah Nakas.
In March this year, it was announced that the FBiH Government is considering moving its headquarters to Marijin-Dvor settlement, behind Sarajevo City Center, where a new facility would be built.
The building in which it is currently located, in Alipašina Street, is owned by SDP Party BiH, and renting is paid 495,654 BAM from budget every year.
