Foreign Exchange Reserves of the Central Bank of BiH amounted to 16.29 Billion BAM

Foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the end of December last year amounted to 16.29 billion BAM and are higher by 605.1 million BAM or 3.9 percent compared to the previous month.

On an annual level, foreign exchange reserves increased by 224 million BAM or 1.4 percent, the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced.

Total loans to domestic sectors in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the end of December last year amounted to 23.55 billion BAM and are higher by 247.4 million BAM or 1.1 percent compared to November of the same year.

Credit growth was registered in the household sector by 26 million BAM or 0.2 percent, private companies by 144.5 million BAM or 1.5 percent, non-financial public companies by 35.3 million BAM or 5.9 percent, government institutions by 17 .7 million BAM or 1.6 percent, and other domestic sectors for 24 million BAM or 11 percent.

The annual growth rate of total loans in December 2023 was 6.7 percent, nominally 1.48 billion BAM.

Annual credit growth was registered in the household sector by 813.4 million BAM or 7.4 percent, private companies by 612 million BAM or 6.7 percent, non-financial public companies by 9.6 million BAM or 1.5 percent, and by others domestic sectors by 58 million BAM or 31.3 percent.

Reduction of credit growth on an annual level was registered with government institutions by 12.9 million BAM or 1.1 percent.
