Inspectors of the Service for Affairs with Foreigners continuously, in cooperation with other competent authorities, continue to undertake all necessary operational measures and actions in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the aim of finding persons of security interest who do not comply with legal regulations.

In this regard, in the locality of the city of Sarajevo, with a timely and coordinated action by the inspector for foreigners, two persons, an Iraqi citizen with the initials S.S., were located and found. and a citizen of Turkey with the initials E.C.

According to the information available from the Service for Foreigners, these are persons connected to organized crime and pose a threat to the security system of BiH, where an Iraqi citizen is considered to be one of the organizers of an international chain of people smuggling on the Western Balkan route and who illegally entered BiH.

After carrying out all the activities within the jurisdiction of the Service, those persons were expelled and removed with a ban on returning to BiH for a period of five years.

In the coming period, the service, in cooperation with other competent domestic and international security authorities, will undertake activities aimed at detecting and preventing irregular migration and thereby contributing to the protection of the overall security of citizens in BiH, the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs reported.
