Foreign Trade Deficit of BiH 5.6 billion BAM

In the period from January to July 2022, exports from BiH amounted to 10.5 billion BAM, which is 37.5 percent more than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to 16.1 billion BAM, or 40.2 percent more than in the same period in 2021.

According to the data of the BiH Agency for Statistics, the coverage of imports by exports amounted to 65.2 percent, while the foreign trade deficit amounted to 5.6 billion BAM.

Exports to CEFTA countries amounted to 1.9 billion BAM, which is 60.7 percent more than in the same period in 2021, while imports also amounted to 1.9 billion BAM, which is 33.5 percent more than in the same period in 2021.

Coverage of imports by exports with those markets amounted to 99.4 percent.

Exports to EU countries amounted to 7.8 billion BAM, which is 36.9 percent more than in the same period in 2021, while imports amounted to 9.1 billion BAM, which is 31.1 percent more than in the same period last year.

Coverage of imports by exports with EU countries amounted to 85.8 percent.
